The new athletic ponchos are in and wow. Just wow.

It's been a whirlwind in Q1 2025 for me with this business. At the start of the year I had one design, one type of material, and no options for future product versions. All of that has changed, and I'm excited to announce the new lines of athletic changing ponchos!

Above are four new designs and styles, with totally new fabrics. This new blend is badass. It's heavy, yet breathable and super absorbant and comfortable. There are three options now, one with zippers and one with snaps, and of course the classic design.

I'll be honest, it's been truly enjoyable getting to this point

My day job is in the software space, and my life revolves around Zoom calls, Slack, and many hours spent on work it's hard to feel given it's all 1s and 0s. This business, however, requires you to be completely engaged in the physical world and I love it. Each fabric feels right-ish or wrong-ish. The tests make you go out, sweat, test fabric absorption, etc. When a prototype is good you can really feel it, and feel the hard work paying off. 

The hard work has paid off big time in this case

The process to getting here has been a blast as I work with my product designer on these new styles, and the hours of testing, designing, fabric hunting, etc. are completely worth it. My wife even helped put the Snap version together and it is one hell of a garment after all our testing, discussion, etc. about how to make the best possible workout poncho. In this case, the Snap version was inspired by her feedback that she doesn't want to pull something over her head after a workout. Totally fair. 

What has resulted though is a garment that's so comfortable to lounge around in after a workout or by the pool that I might never take this off.

All that aside, I have to say, it is beyond exciting to see these come to life. I've been trying them out post Saturday ride as well and absolutely loving the feeling of shedding off sweaty bibs and gear underneath these and riding home comfy and cool. Not the last version by any stretch, but a huge leap forward for the products.
